Gulf Coast Cubensis isolated Spore Syringe

Gulf Coast Psilocybe  is the OG wild land race mushroom strain from Florida. We foraged this isolation of Gulf Coast and domesticated from a wild land race in the heart of Florida. Gulf Coast is an excellent choice for beginner mycologist or advanced growers. This specific Gulf Coast is known for its caramel convex caps and thick white stems.

Land race mushrooms like Gulf Coast are more favorable because  land race genetics found in nature are known to produce higher active compounds and be more resilient to contamination. The humid coast of Southern Florida is home to thousands of cow pastures each producing their own unique demographic Psilocybe mushrooms. Strains like Purple Mystic was foraged in East Plant City, Florida by “Blackd0ve” (shroomery)  The spore isolation of Treasure coast was found along the Indian river in the Fort Pierce/ Vero Beach area. Tosohatchee is another wild landrace found in Florida in the Tosohatchee wildlife management area in central Florida (orange county area, just east of Orlando)  Other popular mushrooms containing active hallucinogenic compounds include Panaeolus Cyanescen’s otherwise known as “Pans”, some Pans can contain 3-4 times the amount of active compounds versus Cubensis mushrooms but produce much smaller fruiting bodies. “F1” lineage of Gulf coast is done by domestication of the original spore print foraged in the wild. The term F1 is given to the mushroom that is isolated from the first spore print of the flush produced in the wild. The most important step when isolation mushroom spores is producing F1 specimens from spore to reduce senescence. ( gradual genetic aging, degregation, and loss of vitality in a mushroom culture over time)
