Description

Panaeolus Cinctulus, also known as the banded mottlegill, also known as Panaeolus subbalteatus, weed Panaeolus, belted panaeolus, or subbs, is a widely distributed psilocybin mushroom. According to American naturalist and mycologist David Arora, Panaeolus cinctulus is considered the most common psilocybin mushroom in California. In the early 1900s, people called these species the “weed Panaeolus” as they frequently appeared in beds of commercially grown Agaricus bisporus mushrooms. Mushroom farmers had to remove it from the edible mushrooms due to its hallucinogenic properties.
