Stability of the genetic code Tidal Wave

Doma is the name of a popular mycologist who created the Tidal wave psilocybe cubensis mushroom variety. Magicmyco has been his alias for years and the myco community has long praised his high-potency mushroom genetics for over a decade. Doma has made it his life mission to spread awareness and break myths through testing and data collection in search of new mycology standards.

Why mushroom spores?

Doma survived a near-death experience in 1998 that eventually forced him into the typical medical routine of opioid addiction from the chronic pain he endured over years of recovery. By 2016, Magicmyco found his newfound hope and solution to almost two decades of pain with macrodosing mushrooms. HPLC and PCR are only some of the impressive tools that Doma uses to produce groundbreaking results
as a citizen scientist in mycology.

How did the tidal wave first appear?

Tidal wave was first established in 2017. The second Filial generation F2 of tidal wave was referred to as TWE or Tidal Wave Eclipse because the day it produced fruiting bodies was the great American solar eclipse in 2017. Doma crossed the B+ with Penis Envy originally acquired by Hawkeye, a vendor who produced viable spores back in the day. The amount of instability in the Tidal wave spores makes them a unique roller coaster ride for most growers since they have been noted to take on many different formations and mutations can occur along the way. The genes that were shared by the B+ could be the potential reasoning behind its unstable character since B+ is known to come from the “hat” in the B+ hat’s isolated features. Sometimes B+ produces a nipple-like hat at the top of the caps and can be slower growing than its counterparts. (GT, Blue Meanie, PF Classic)

Where are the Tidal Wave mushrooms gonna go next?

The Tidal wave original genetics have average colonization time and fruiting conditions, the second version of Tidal wave also referred to as “Enigma”, aka TW2 was shown to produce slower-forming fruiting bodies in 2018 a year later than the original tidal wave. Since the Tidal wave is known to be unstable, a wave of mutations produced the Enigma, it has this cult following for the usual coral-like features paired with its higher-than-life potency levels that were at the time the most potent magic mushroom created in the cubensis family specifically. One theory is that since it takes longer to grow (over 3 weeks longer than penis envy it gives the mushroom the chance to chemically induce high psilocybin production. The long growth times and its odd structure had made it a taboo for years and the
folklore spoke like this “You cannot morally sell this variety it must be gifted to one from another person”. The idea of only gifting the enigma had carried true for over the past 7-plus years until around 2022 when spore vendors started sprouting out of the ground like wild weeds.

Tidal waves of myconauts have drooled over these unique isolations created by Doma in the mushroom community after viewing the winning psilocybin cup strains. Through the process of trial and error, new higher potency P. Cubensis varieties will continue to arise through basic spore dilution and combination techniques.
