The Ghost strain emerged within the last decade as a result of efforts to stabilize and isolate a few albino golden teachers, which led to the development of the True Albino Teacher strain. Subsequently, Ghost evolved as a further mutation of this strain, which was identified early on and isolated as its own distinct P. cubensis strain.
