The Leucistic Treasure Coast spore print represents a visually distinct, reduced-pigmentation lineage of interest to researchers studying pigmentation genetics within Psilocybe cubensis variants. This print is prepared and sealed under sterile lab conditions.

Leucistic Treasure Coast is a favorite Leucistic Cubensis. This variety is a bulletproof winner that can adapt to a number of different conditions. Well known for its aggressive spore-dropping characteristics that can turn an entire mono tub black from a dark-colored spore load. The Treasure Coast refers to the eastern coast of Florida, once known to be the largest producer of beef in the country, but that has changed in recent history, while cattle lands are being converted to residential communities.

The coast of Florida has long been recognized for its magic mushroom foraging conditions. The abundance of grazing cattle makes the area a breeding ground for wild Psilocybe Cubensis Mushrooms.

Visual & Microscopic Characteristics: Despite the leucistic (reduced pigment) phenotype expressed in fruiting bodies, spores typically retain standard smooth, sub-ellipsoid, purple-brown morphology under the microscope — making this a useful case study in separating macroscopic pigmentation traits from microscopic spore characteristics.

Research Notes: Leucistic lineages are frequently referenced in discussions of P. cubensis phenotypic variation and are a useful teaching example for distinguishing visible-trait variation from genus-level spore consistency.
